Raleigh’s music festival, Hopscotch, is back for 2021 and announced its lineup and wristband sales on Friday.
Here’s what to know about this year.
When: Sept. 9-11.
An all-outdoor footprint: Two main stages in Downtown Raleigh, one in City Plaza and one in Moore Square, will host attendees at 75% capacity, the website says.
Tickets are on sale as of Friday. Both are for the full 3-day festival. The general admission wristband is $179 and a VIP-level wristband is $299. [tickets]
Festival organizers say day parties and late night shows by local venues are still anticipated to keep “the vibe and spirit of the festival.”
About the lineup: 25% are from North Carolina, while others are performers from elsewhere.
Of note with some of the bigger font names:
- It’s the final tour for Philly-based Dr. Dog.
- This year alone, LA-based Flying Lotus released an anime series score and won a Grammy as a producer for Thundercat’s ‘It Is What It Is’ album.
- Parquet Courts announced a new album for October, you can hear the single ‘Plant Life’ for now.
- Previously announced headliner Animal Collective is also featured at Pitchfork Music Festival.
